ORDERING GIFT BASKETS

You can order online via our secure server or call us at 847-277-1483 if you feel more comfortable doing so. Our gift consultant will be happy to help you with your gift selection process. Our business hours are 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (CST)  Monday through Friday. Festive Season: Avoid disappointment by placing your order(s) as early as possible during our busy festive season (November-December). We are closed from December 20th through January 5th, every year. All orders received during that time will be processed after January 5th.

SHIPPING WINE BASKETS

Wine baskets can only be shipped to the following states: CA, CO, IA, ID, IL, MN, MO, NE, NM, OR, WA, WI and WV. An adult signature is required upon delivery/shipping.

CUSTOM ORDERS 

We specialize in custom gifts. Many of our clients ask us to personalize a particular gift basket. We welcome the addition of specific items or enclosures if you can mail them to our location for inclusion. We can include business cards, personal cards, personalized labels, literature or merchandise (hats, cups, pens, etc.).

SHIPPING GIFT BASKETS

Shipping is done via FedEx Ground to a single address.  Delivery is made within 24-48 hours of payment of your order. 

Please note: We ship our gift baskets ONLY within the USA. We DO NOT ship to Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Alaska. The above map shows delivery times via FedEx Ground to the US States from our warehouse at 60010. We ship packages via FedEx Ground. 

All shipping charges include the shipping charges as well as the packing & handling charges for packaging the gift basket in a special way so that it arrives in pristine condition to the recipient. Shipping & handling charges are based on weight or dimensions, destination. Most parcels range from $9.00 to $25.00. When the gift leaves our facility, the buyer will receive a tracking number via email. To track your package please click here. 

We ship FedEx Ground. It usually takes between 1-5 business days (a business day does not include Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays), for your gift basket to reach its destination. Please see map above. 

Example: If we ship a package on Monday that takes 2 business days to arrive. You do not count the day you ship as a business day, so your package would arrive on Wednesday, the second business day after the ship date.

We cannot guarantee delivery if the address provided to us is incorrect or incomplete. We can only ship or deliver to complete addresses so please make sure your address information is complete and accurate.

We do  not ship to PO, APO, or FPO  boxes. We are not responsible for orders shipped to  hotels & hospitals in the event the recipient has checked out  while the gift is in transit.  It is the buyer's responsible to ensure that the recipient will be at the location where the gift is being shipped.

EXPEDITED SHIPPING 

Gift giving is time sensitive and we understand this very well. If you would like your basket to arrive fast or on a specific date let us know. Want expedited shipping ? CALL US 847-277-1483 We can expedite your order for an additional charge. Please call us to discuss the time critical deliveries. 

LOCAL HAND DELIVERY

Elegantly Expressed  utilizes the services of professional couriers for delivery. Telephone numbers are required for all hand deliveries. The delivery window is usually 4 hours. Hand Delivery is available to the cities shown below. We deliver to local hospitals, hotels, residential addresses, and businesses.  

  • Delivery to a residential address always requires a phone number as our drivers always call to confirm availability. If no one is available to accept, and if weather conditions permit, the gift basket is usually left at the front door. You can request that the gift basket not be delivered if the party is not at home. Additional delivery charges will apply for a second attempt. 

  • Delivery to a local hospital must include: hospital telephone number, patient's name, room number, and expected release date. 

  • Delivery to hotels must include: hotel's telephone, address, guest name, room number, and check out date. 

Elegantly Expressed is not responsible for orders delivered to hotels & hospitals in the event the recipient has checked out  while the gift is in transit.  It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that the recipient will be at the location where the gift is being delivered.

HAND DELIVERY AREAS & CHARGES

CHICAGO LAND AREA : Hand delivery available to Chicago and 200 of its suburbs. Our rates are very reasonable, considering the gas prices nowadays. Our delivery people are professional and handle each basket / order with care. 

Not all Illinois cities shown. Here are some of the Illinois cities and the Hand delivery charges shown below. If the city that you would like to send the gift basket to, is not listed please call us. Hand Delivery charges are based on the number of miles from our location and start from $10.00.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR FAILED DELIVERIES & CHARGES

Please check all addresses carefully. We guarantee delivery only to the addresses we are given. Elegantly Expressed is not responsible for shipping or delivery charges incurred when 

  • we have an incorrect or outdated address

  • the gift recipient is on vacation or unable/unwilling to accept the gift  or

  • the gift basket has to be rerouted to another location

  • the gift basket is returned to us if is is deemed undeliverable due to an address error or it is refused by the recipient. 

For EACH ADDRESS CORRECTION you will be charged $5.00 as we have to call Fed Ex to make the change

For EACH RE-ROUTED delivery you will be charged $10.00 as each rerouted delivery has additional shipping charges. 

For EACH RE-ROUTED HAND DELIVERY you will be charged the amount charged by our professional courier service. We use Blackhawk Courier Service in Chicago.

If the GIFT BASKET IS  RETURNED TO US you have 2 choices. 

  • Either have it sent to a correct address. This will mean additional S&H charges to be incurred by you. 
  • OR : We throw away the basket as we are unable to re-sell it even if it is not opened or it is not a custom order. All custom orders are non-refundable. 

PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS

At times it may be necessary to substitute products shown for a product of equal or greater value and quality. For example, we avoid shipping chocolates during the hot summer months since they will melt. In all cases, where substitution is necessary, we try our best to maintain the look, colors and design style of the gift basket as pictured.

RETURNS

If at any time you receive a gift basket created by us which you are unsatisfied with, please contact us immediately so we can remedy the situation. We consider all sales "FINAL". But we will definitely satisfy you if there is an error on our part. If you receive a package, which has been damaged during shipping, notify your postal carrier/delivery person immediately. If a basket has to be returned it has to be done within 3 days of receiving the basket. We can take back ONLY un-opened gifts.

To return a gift, please email us at returns@elegantly-expressed.com or call us 847-277-1483 for a Return Authorization Number. Return shipping is the responsibility of the person returning the basket. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. All returned merchandise must be returned in perfect condition. No credit will be given until we receive the merchandise. We issue credit refunds ONLY to the "original purchaser" of the gift. Refunds will be made back onto the original credit card used.
